Apple MAC's and Clones
This is my collection of Apple Computers. Mostly Apple Macintosh Computers, but also some Apple Clones.

Compact MAC's....Gotta love em !
I have several of the compact MACs. My favorite of the old hardware I have in my collection. The compacts are a lot of fun to play with and are just damn cute.

Apple Macintosh SE Compact
This is my first compact I bought. It has a whopping 2MB of RAM and a 20MB Hard Drive. This little baby is incredibly  slow by todays standards but still fires up.
Apple Macintosh SE/30 Compact
The SE/30's are alot faster than the SE, or any of the compact MACs. In fact it is snappier than my G3 ! It runs Photoshop 1.0, Mac Draw, Mac Write, and many other programs very well.
Coveted Color Classic Compact
This is the coolest of all the compacts featuring a color trinitron screen. The power is somewhat lacking, as is the screen resolution. Great for some tasks but without the 480x640 screen resolution it is limited. But I have seen boards up to a G4 crammed into the Color Classic along with LCD screens to make this little Mac a screaming G4. Do a google search for Mystic Color Classic and you will find many Color Classic Hacks.
Apple Macintosh IIcx
I got this speed demon from a neighbor and have not been able to get it working so far. It has pretty limited uses so I probably won't spend much time or $ on it. Currently resides on my desk as a monitor riser.
Apple Macintosh IIsi
Another Macintosh II computer I have that is not working yet. It is in great shape and i will continue to play with it until I can get it working.
Apple Macintosh LC
Pizza, Pizza, Pizza.........

The Apple Macintosh LC features a 16 MHz 68020 processor, 2 MB of RAM, and either a 40 MB or an 80 MB hard drive in a compact "pizza box" case. The Macintosh LC is a distant cousin of the Macintosh II in a smaller case, and thus, lacking many of the expansion options.
Apple Macintosh LC II
The Apple Macintosh LC II features a 16 MHz 68030 processor, 4 MB of RAM, and either a 40 MB or an 80 MB hard drive in a compact "pizza box" case. The Macintosh LC II is very similar to the Macintosh LC, but uses the 68030 processor and includes a PMMU chip for virtual memory, but lacks dual disk drive capability. The consumer version of this model is the Performa 400 series.
Apple Macintosh LC III
The Apple Macintosh LC III features a 25 MHz 68030 processor, 4 MB of RAM, and either a 40 MB, an 80 MB, or a 160 MB hard drive in a compact "pizza box" case. The consumer version of the LC III is the Performa 450.
Apple Mac Performa 6400
The Apple Macintosh Performa 6410/180 features a 180 MHz PowerPC 603e processor, 16 MB of RAM, a 1.6 GB hard drive, and an SRS 3D surround sound system with subwoofer in a sleek tower case. This model is identical to the Performa 6400/180, but was sold in Europe and Asia.
Apple Macintosh Performa LC580
The Apple Macintosh LC 580 features a 33 MHz 68LC040 processor, 8 MB of RAM, and a 500 MB hard drive in a relatively-compact all-in-one case with a 14" color display. The consumer version of the Macintosh LC 580 is the Performa 580 series, which was sold only in Asia

This LC580 was converted to a PowerPC 225MHz Black Mac. See pics.....

G3 iBook and G4 PowerBook

The Clamshell iBook is my favorite new toy. It is a 466MHz G3 with OS 10.3.9 running.

Next to the iBook, under the monitor inside an old keyboard pull-out drawer is my 15 inch 1.5GHz G4 Aluminum PowerBook running Tiger. The PB is attached to an Apple 20 inch ColorSync CRT I found at the Goodwill store for 15 bucks.

The Aluminum G4 is an impressive Powerbook with a really nice 15 inch screen. I needed more workspace so I attached the Apple Colorsync monitor. The Aluminum Powerbook has the nice feature of running an external monitor while the book is closed. I can boot and run the Powerbook without ever opening it using the Apple keyboard power button. It's just a kick-ass Mac !

My Main WorkStation

Along with my favorite couchMac...... Here's my newest favorite toy.

A Quicksilver 2002 867MHz G4 with 1.25GB of RAM, a GeForce 64MB AGP main video card, a ATI Radeon 9200 PCI video card, one 320GB Seagate drive and a 120GB Seagate drive running OS 10.4 until just recently. My G4 was originally an 800MHz model but I overclocked the CPU to 867MHz to install Leopard OS 10.5 and it's running well on Leopard for a while.

The G4 also has a Sweet Multi-Port in the Zip drive bay with a USB, 2 Firewire and a CompactFlash card reader. It's a nice little addidion you can still find for your G4. You'll also notice the MacSkinz flamed side panel cover I think is pretty cool.

The G4 is running on two Graphite Apple 17" CRT Studio Displays and makes a pretty nice budget set-up. I probably only have about $300.00 (late 2007 $$) in the whole set-up plus another $100 in the Harmon Kardon SoundSticks and iSub.And for a bunch of plastic the sound is pretty decent.

I have a new super cool dual motherboard computer project in the works and will be posting pics and info on it soon.
